Read my first SH book, Legion of the Damned, while still in high school. It was circulating around communist Romania in photocopied issues... Then, after Nov 1989, a printing house in Bucharest got the rights to translate and print all Sven Hassel novels. I have bought them, read them and enjoyed them greatly. Still re-read them, every once in a while... Humanity should not forget the tragedy that WWII brought on us, all... Even more so, as it seems we are heading towards another long period of international conflict, brutal terrorism and political unrest.
