The sign of a good book being being able to read it over & over again. I have all Sven's books & they never fail to entertain & to educate. Any story of the dental forceps, drinking or banqueting are always good, again & again.

this is the second time i have started reading the series. Absolutely enthralling, from the first book to the last. What an insight it gives into the lives of ordinary German citizens caught up in this slaughter. Soldiers, families, innocents, all sacrifice
