Loved the books read them in the eighties, since bought the whole collection from trademe (NZ eBAY). I persuaded a female christian flatmate to read one and she loved it.

I have read just about all of Sven's books ( Swedish language version) and still have them all. It's a great mix of very funny stuff as well as serious things that took place. I enjoyed reading very much. Well done Mr. Hassel and Ruhe in Frieden.

Started reading my dad's copies of Sven's books in the mid 80s as a child. I'm 38 now and still read them regularly. Sven Hassel is my favourite author and Porta is probably my favourite character of all time.
