Forsyth, was a best-selling novelist, who wrote The Day of the Jackal, The Odessa File, and Dogs of War, to simply name a few novels. Anecdotally, Hassel met Forsyth several times over the years and even visited him in his home in Spain. The shared Publishers world wide and both admired each other’s work.
