So sorry to hear Sven Hassell passed away in September. I only found out today as the last I'd heard of him, he was 95 and still alive. I was hoping he'd make it to 100. I read his books decades ago and loved each and every one of them.

I alwyas enjoyed reading your books. My parents had a few in their bookshelf when I was a kid and afterwards I read all of your books. It taught me a lot about the cruelty of war but always with a touch of humor. Rest in peace, mr. Hassel.
