I grew up with Porta, the Legionnaire, Old Man… How many hours re-living all the horrors your generation went through. Hope you have already met your brother in arms. May all soldiers fallen in wars rest in peace and honor.

I have been a reader of some of your novels, and I found them to be excellent at showing war in all of its horrors. May you and your comrades, and all those who died in WW2, and in all wars rest in peace in a world made of brotherhood and eternal harmony.

Thank you Mr. Hassel for all your learnings. I hope that my son will enjoy your books too and put a flower on Monte Casino mountain. Those days I feel like a lost a closest friend. Ask Porta to cook something, for old times sake.
