I used to read these novels when I was a child back in the early 80s . Latter on in my early thirties I ended up buying the entire set to read. The novels starkly depict the horrors of war. and the depravity and depths humanity can go too. Sven Hassel is one of my favourite writers. My only criticism would be to bring back the old style 80s front cover art work rather than current covers as I find the front covers of the new books in print to be a little bland.
