I remember my Dad reading Sven Hassel books in the late 70's and early 80's and at the time he wouldnt let me read them. But the cover of the books fascinated me I forgot about Sven until I picked up Wheels of Terror in a second hand bookstore. It was brilliant, beautifully violent and descriptive. I've since purchased all the books and am reading my way through them. So far Monte Cassino is my favourite but they are all brilliant.
