Hi guys, Wonder if you can help! As a pensioner I have just finished reading the brilliant Legion of the Damned which I first read as a teenager along which many of his other books. The book covers a number years and pretty much ends with deaths of the old un, Pluto and porta.. the other novels have the above interacting with the likes of Tiny, Barcelona and the Legionnaire so I don’t understand why. they are omitted from the book or I’m I missing something here ? Cheers ANSWER: Hi Andy, Thank you for your message. The Legion of the Damned, which is turning 70 years these days, was written by Sven mainly in prison camps just after the war. He had at that time no intention to write more books as he did not know if it would even be published. Therefore it is a kind of resumé of his war experience. Afterwards in 1957 Wheels of terror was published and he started the whole series and developed other characters, who did not appear in this, his first novel. Andy
