First introduced to Sven Hassel as a youngster when my father was at a book and toy fair for retail outlets. He said to pick what I wanted and I subsequently picked, The Bloody road to death. The suprising thing is I hadn’t heard of Sven Hassel . I read it and in the last 40 years I have loved his books, collected them many times and will continue to do so.
