I have read all the books many times over and never tire of reading them. I get so engrossed in the books, time flies by, and I find it so hard to put them down. Stand easey old soldier, you did your duty and now you may Rest In Peace.

I'm 59 years old. I have been reading his books since 1970 and must have read them 20 times each and they are always great. I also collect panzer memorabillia. In fact, i'm just going to read all his books over again, can't wait.

I read these books as a Teenager back in the 70's and 80's and am now revisiting them at an age of 56. They made an excellent read then and are proving to be so now. Excellent Story teller

My father was a 16 yr old boy in 1943. They went from Rome to a town 15 miles from Monte Cassino.I am writing his memoirs. He passed Jan. 13, 2013. I have bought Monte Cassino by Mr. Hassel to glean the soldiers personal perspective. Thank you
