Sunt un fan Sven Hassel, care si dupa 20 ani, citeste cartile cu aceeasi pasiune si care ii multumeste autorului ca a avut acesta putere de a scrie despre ororile razboiului….Stima mea

I'm 52 now and I read most of Svens books when I was 13 or 14. I really became absorbed in the them. The hardships of war from ground level and the characters. haven't looked Sven up since but found this web site and just thought that I would add my words

I think that alongside Remarque, and a couple of notable Vietnam vets, Sven wrote the most poignant and honest accounts of every facet of war. I've been re-reading his work since I was 12, and will do to the grave.

After reading Sven Hassel`s amazing books I realized that there were no good or bad sides in the war, just young boys that would rather drink and laugh together than kill each other ! May he rest in peace along with his comrades.

I'm turning 50 this year and still love to read Sven' books. I've lost count how many times I have re -read his books. Awesome story teller and history lessons from the past of people and places where incredible and horrible things took place. D
