I discovered Sven Hassel's books 35 years ago when in university. I read them all, and now have re-purchased them for my electronic library. My son has become a fan too. Great stories, great writing

Valla por delante mi mas sentido pésame, Ahora ya están todos reunidos. Creo que lo mas mágico de las novelas de Haseel es que nadie sabe ni sabra nunca, donde empieza la ficción y donde termina. Nos vemos en Valhalla.

Sven Hassel may you rest in peace my friend R.I.P. You are the greatest. Love your books. Have them all. Will your last unfinished book ever be released?

I was introduced to these books by an Australia Submariner. Have aquired the collection since and will not part with them. A MUST READ for readers of history (even thought they are fiction?) Up there with the Forgotten Soldier. Thanks Sven R.I.P Alan

Read (and re-read) all the books as a teenager in the 1970s, a great insight into the lives of `ordinary` German soldiers. Its a shame a decent film was never made. The Misfit Brigade was rather poor.

I first found out about Mr Sven Hassel passing from my local newspaper. It sparked my interest. I started to read. Unfortunately all other books are just not real enough anymore. I'm so sorry for the family. Thankyou so much Sven.

I have been reading sven's books for a few years and they give the best description of WW2. I become, let's say, proud when i see names of places in former Yugoslavia. Greetings from Croatia!
