Your novels were the first I ever read. And read them all I did. I grew up in UK after the war and had a misconception of it all, we all did because of the films etc. Anyway your books broke the mould and showed you were all just men.. no matter what side

I saw the Misfit brigade from 1987 and i wonder if there is anybody out there who knows what kind of strange dog tags they had in the Movie. It was not a wehrmacht dog tag.

My first book was Legion of the Damned back in 1974 (given to me by my grandad). Read all of them many times over though the 70's 80's and 90's,and this year again. Rest in Peace, your with the gang at last now.

Just found out Sven died last year. Bought my first book, 'Blitzfreeze', in '76 when I was about 11. Lost count of the times I've re-read them, meant and still mean so much. RIP.

So now you've left us, Sven? Thanks for being a lifelong companion through your books. I began reading them at school, and probably learned more from you than from my lessons! Be well and a fair wind, and say hi to your comrades from me.
